sia naming che funzionamento di quella parte son da chiedere a technicolor/tim da quello che ho visto la label per l'id vlan compare solo in pppoe

immagino non abbiano preimpostato la config per poi permettere di settare il vlan id anche in "fixed ip" e quindi tagliato tutta la parte del vlan (che poi vabbhe' potevano riutilizzare quella che c'era per il pppoe)

Nel 789 con UNO la setting per la vlan appare in tutte le modalità, evidentemente qui hanno tolto le possibilità che tim non prevede.

edit: a dire il vero su UNO pulito non c'è alcuna impostazione possibile nella modal "Internet Access", sono tutte nella "Setup your gateway"

Ok, ho finalmente il bridge attivo e connesso ("Bridge waneth4 connected").
Ho dovuto riconfigurare in  10.7.128.0/24 perche' altrimenti mi dava errori nella scheda della rete locale.
Ho riconfigurato anche il principale ed il suo file  network per la stessa classe di indirizzi  ma ,a parte il piacere di vedere la dicitura connected, non sono riuscito ad ottenere
la minima navigabilita' dai device connessi al router secondario. Sono piu' che certo di aver collegato il cavo alla porta giusta del router principale (se lo stacco dal piano terra
il bridge si disconnette), e non riesco a pingare , dal secondario stesso, il 10.7.129.1  .   Manchera' di sicuro qualche instradamento che va' fatto manualmente.

Mi spieghi un momento che ip intendi dare alle quattro interfacce (2 per apparecchio)?
Hai messo 10.7.128.1 e 10.7.129.2 a quello principale e 10.7.128.2 e 10.7.129.1 al secondario? Perchè volersi male in questo modo? E' normale che così ti confondi…

edit: ho visto ora il file network del principale, quello del secondario è palesemente sbagliato nel punto che ti ho evidenziato sopra. Correggi così:

La prima correzione serve a far funzionare l'accesso ad internet dall'interno del device secondario, la seocnda correzione serve a recuperare l'accesso alla lan primaria dai client connessi al secondario.

Si mi sono confuso  e parecchio,  ho considerato una coppia di  indirizzi per il solo secondario e li ho sparati anche sul primario pensando che dovesse far riferimento a quelli e basta.


direi che e' il caso di considerare il 128.1 ed il 129.1 per il primario mentre il 128.2 ed 129.2 per il secondario.

Ah poi te lo dico fin da ora perchè mi è appena tornato in mente, quell'option gateway se ho ben capito dalla documentazione di openwrt funziona solo come override di ciò che lui riceve come gateway via dhcp. Non ho capito però se era così già dalla 15.05 o è diventato così dopo. Ad ogni modo essendo tu in 'static' non c'è nessun dhcp di cui fare l'override, quindi potresti trovarti senza regola di routing di default. Se così fosse aggiungila manualmente. Puoi anche lasciare lì com'è quell'option gateway per semplice riferimento.

Trovarsi senza regola di routing di default implica che riesci a pingare, dal secondario, l'ip del primario 10.7.129.1. Riuscirai anche a pingare l'altro ip. il 10.7.128.1 ma non farti confondere, lo starà facendo tramite l'altra interfaccia.

Al momento non riesco a pingare da 128.2 entrambi i 129.

e controlla che sia comparsa una default route con 192.168.42.1 come gateway.

manca la default con gateway 129.1 
La gui mi del router in questo momento lavora male, mi butta fuori ogni volta che provo ad inserire un instradamento,
dopo il logon non apre la pagina con le piastrelle dando "net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE" .

Mi sa che sul tim hub la porta wan ethernet è la eth5 e non la eth4 che vedo usata sulla vlan dell'sfp. (cagata)

Dalla tabella di routing vedo che te ne mancano un paio, Una è quella di default di cui parlavo sopra. L'altra è quella on-link del tutto analoga alle prime due che vedi ma inerente la subnet 129.x su waneth5. Il motivo per cui manca la default route è probabilmente quello detto sopra. Il motivo per cui manca la route on-link potrebbe essere che attualmente avevi impostato il tutto su eth4 che però è l'sfp.

Ho effettuato le correzioni,  la tabella e' rimasta uguale, e visti i malfunzionamenti della gui che non mi permette di vedre quasi piu' nulla , sono tentato di salvare i file e resettarlo..

Trovato il perche' mi mancavano  i due instradamenti.

Se lo resetti, ti suggerirei di non installare la custom gui, non ne sono sicuro ma ho i miei dubbi che funzioni correttamente con un setup del genere. Ho gli stessi dubbi anche su quella stock ad essere onesto. Magari prova a rendere prima il tutto funzionante, fai un backup dei file,  e poi prova a installare la gui sperando che non si spacchi nulla.

Buon pomeriggio @LuKePicci ,
al momento lo sto utilizzando con la custom 8.10.86 e sembra andare bene. Ieri usavo la versione successiva e ho avuto un sacco di problemi (ma francamente non ho idea se erano legati alla gui  o
agli smanettamenti continui).
L'unica cosa che ora noto e' , dopo aver impostato waneth5 , la mancanza del tab della lan e la dicitura "Bridge eth4 connected"  nel tab banda larga.
Ora cerco di capire come impostare i dns , (perdonatemi l'ignoranza ma come sistemista linux valgo poco e sono su openwrt da quando mi sono iscritto...) .
Poi provero' a vedere se riesco ad installare i pacchetti che volevo usare su questo routere magari vedere se riesco a farlo da gui direttamente (due sono gia' nelle estensioni previste da Ansuel).

eth4 era l'sfp (cagata), prova a rimuoverla dal brige lan e vedi se l'aspetto della gui torna più gradevole, o evita tanto è solo un difetto di visualizzazione.

Per i dns ne ho aggiunto alcuni che vengono rilevati anche dalla apposita scheda in gui , pero' non so se sono corretti come utilizzo nel contesto.
Sono riuscito a fare l'update delle liste opkg del repository di roleo .

Eth5  e'anche lei in uso in "config device 'wlnet_b_5eth5' ", avevo provato a rinominare waneth5 in waneth6  e modificare l'ifname in wan ma la tabella di routing aveva riperso il gateway.
A scanso di guai sono ritornato ad usare la eth4 .

I have the 4130 and had to reprogram from the beginning, I am unlocked and on 3.39 if I try and update to any later version the router crashes when I input the user name and password after doing the update through putty.

I cannot get the router to update through the GUI as it says it needs .bin file which I cannot find. after unzipping the Gui file.

I am trying to do this off line so as not to have problem with dlm could someone point me in the direction of which is the correct file to browse to from the GUI or suggest an alternative method.
for an offline update
Last resort would be to connect to the internet and see if it will update from there. Firmware v is 1.03 and 3.39 seems to be working O.K.
