Cosa hai fatto per arrivare a questa situazione? hai provato con altri firmware oltre l'1.0.3? cosa c'è attualmente nei bank e cosa succede se avvii normalmente il modem?

il modem non parte piu con nessuna bank, si riavia e quando parte con la bank 1 cerca sempre il firmware tramite tftp, con la bank 2 da kernel panic e si riavia. ho caricato la gui 966 e da li basta.

si ma che firmware ci sono/c'erano installati nei bank? posta il log completo della seriale con tutti i fail e crash che fa.

a naso direi che è la protezione antirollback quindi te ne esci flashando un 2.0.0 o oltre

Bank Planning
We are now going to prepare an optimal bank plan for the same firmware version you have now booted.

Run the following command to look at your Gateway's bank state:

find /proc/banktable -type f -print -exec cat {} ';'

Take note of active and booted banks:

At the end of this guide your Gateway will boot the same firmware you are now running as per optimal bank plan:

We will now check the current state and move to the above one, such that it will boot from the recommended bank on every reboot.

On which bank should I stay to be safe?

It's strongly recommended to stick to the optimal bank plan (listed above) before modding your device further. The bigger picture description can be found here. The short thing is that you should really consider modding your preferred firmware version (not necessarily of Type 2) while booted from bank_2 keeping bank_1 as the active one.
Key Point: it's unsafe to deeply mod firmware settings of any firmware booted from bank_1.

Notable exception: Missing RBI

In the unfortunate case that there are no RBI firmware files available for your model, you are not in a safe position because you can't exploit BOOTP recovery options. In such a situation whatever bank you boot is the same. Your best option is to keep a copy of your current rooted Type 2 firmware on both banks. Skip bank planning for optimality.

Run the following commands:

non la vedo facile... kernel panic su entrambi i bank, avevi eseguito quei comandi proprio prima di mettere la 9.6.6 e riavviare? mi sa che gli hanno dato il colpo di grazia...

quello che però mi pare strano è perchè non ti accetta il firmware da TFTP, prova a mettere il 2.0.0 come firmware e vedi se lo flasha

l'unico che lho acceta e non da bli incompatible e il 2.2.1 pero al riavio parte sempre con la bank 2, e anche se io faccio il fail boot per tornare sul bank 1 mi da sempre kernel error. mi sa che devo disaldare il flash e ripristinarlo.

Se non riesci a resettarlo (hai la bank_2 attiva, il reset agisce sulla sulla bank attiva) la vedo scura.

Si mi sa che sei in un vicolo cieco,

hai la protezione antidowngrade che non ti fa mettere firmware più vecchi e qui mi chiederei come hai fatto a mantenerla dato che la GUI fa i check durante l'installazione per rimuoverla... riesci a ricordare la "storia dei firmware" del modem? hai tenuto firmware >1.1.0 e < 2.1.0 senza mai installare la GUI?

il reset ipotizzo possa farlo su entrambi i bank, basta farlo quando la booted è quella che vuole resettare, solo che il crash avviene fin troppo presto da poter pensare che già è attivo il listner dei bottoni...
