I apologize for English, as it's my first language. I can read Italian well, and I live here, so feel free to respond in Italian.
I am here because my internet service is through TIM, but apparently through a business service that has a different configuration. I have a Technicolor tg789vac v2 with v2.0.85 firmware (or software version?) The gateway address is 192.168.1.254. I say this because all the instructions I've read on various sites about user name / passwords seem to not apply here (either for PPPoE or the web interface). I have access only to a limited customer account.
Success to me is not necessarily a rooted router (although that seems to be a way to do it). It's the PPPoE information so I can use a VDSL modem, or to change the technicolor so it simply passes through to my own router. One concern I have about rooting - would that erase the configuration information?
