Qualcuno può darmi delucidazioni riguardo il significato e l'uso di wan_br_mac?!?

Ho trovato una impostazione della variabile in un log nell'ultima pagina di questo manuale:

quindi ho impostato da Telnet:

e il risultato è questo:

Siamo sicuri che l'Init the gre  sia legato al wan_br_mac?

Da quanto risulta qui http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk827/tk369/tk287/tsd_technology_support_sub-protocol_home.html il Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE) serve per incapsulare un x protocollo in un ip tunnel (layer3 o 4?).

Il mac sta al layer2 della pila iso osi.
